2019-2022: Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation

Yash and Parvathy have been ALSF ambassadors through their ambassador program. Every year we have been partnering with local families and businesses to host Lemonade stands and raise awareness and funds to support Pediatric Cancer Research and support.

In 2020 Krishnan Family also received the award for “Top Fundraisers.”

Blood Drive - The Blood Connection
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation & UNC Children's Hospital

This year we chose to collaborate with two very important organizations that are doing phenomenal work for children and families with cancer. We were informed that there was a shortage for blood in our area and one of the requests we had was to partner with “The Blood Connection.” Through this wonderful collaboration we were not only able to raise funds for ALSF we were also able to support the needs of the community.

Art Kits: UNC Children's Hospital Chapel Hill, NC

As part of our yearly toy drive donation this year we wanted to approach it a bit different. With COVID continuing to be an issue we decided to direct all our support directly on behalf of the community. Arts and Crafts has always been a very engaging way for children and siblings to connect and keep busy during clinic visits. We targeted this concept by giving away art kits and supplies.

In addition we worked with the Hospital School, teachers and the hospital librarian at UNC Childrens who work tirelessly to provide children with a school experience who have long term hospital admissions.
